The German Center for Research and Innovation (GCRI) is proud to announce the launch of its new webpage, Technology Parks & Centers, on http://germaninnovation.org/research-and-innovation/technology-parks-and-centers

The GCRI’s web presence is an information platform for North Americans who are interested in the German science and innovation landscape and who wish to conduct research or business in Germany. Under the “Research & Innovation” section of the website, the new Technology Parks & Centers webpage features a selection of institutions and portals that represent core strengths and services of Germany’s dynamic innovation landscape, which is characterized by a strong network of institutes, universities, clusters, enterprises, and scientists.

Page visitors will be able to search for technology parks and centers based on their core competencies in the following categories:

• Air and Space Travel
• Automotives
• Bioinformatics
• Biotechnology
• Chemical
• Electronics
• Energy & Environment, Environmental Technologies
• General
• IT & Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
• Life Sciences
• Logistics
• Medicine / Health, Medical Technologies
• Microsystems and Materials
• Nanotechnology
• Photonics & Optics
• Plasma Physics
• Renewable Energy & Photovoltaics

Upon choosing one institution, an information field with the institution’s areas of specialization will appear as well as a link to its website. As information becomes available, more technology parks and categories will be added.

The German Center for Research and Innovation, www.GermanInnovation.org, provides information and support for the realization of cooperative and collaborative projects between North America and Germany. With the goal of enhancing communication on the critical challenges of the 21st century, the GCRI hosts a wide range of events from lectures and exhibitions to workshops and science dinners. Opened in February 2010, the GCRI was created as a cornerstone of the German government’s initiative to internationalize science and research and is one of five centers worldwide.
