In modern industrialised nations, the services sector accounts for approximately two-thirds of all jobs and gross value added. There is a growing demand for products which are offered complete with services to cater to individual customer wishes. This figure alone provides an indication of how important services already are today for technological advances in high-tech countries such as Germany.
