Automotive and Transport Technologies

The German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) currently has more than 600 member companies. They produce motor vehicles, trailers, body structures, buses and vehicle parts and accessories. Here you find a list of its member companies.

The Automotive Index gives users the opportunity to search for automotive companies, research institutes, associations as well as government offices, chambers of commerce and other representations in Germany.

ERA-NET TRANSPORT (ENT) is a sustainable network of national transport research programmes in Europe. ENT is also a service platform for programme managers, which provides the required framework to initiate and implement trans-national cooperation.

The German Aerospace Industries Association and more than 190 members represent the interests of an industrial sector, which owing to international technology leadership and worldwide success has become a significant driver of economic growth in Germany.

The German government aims to turn the country into Europe’s logistics hub by increasing the efficiency of the transport system and improving the automotive industry's competitiveness. The Research Explorer is a joint project of the DFG (German Research Foundation) and the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). The database contains over 17,000 institutes at German universities plus non-university research institutions, searchable by name, geographic location, subject and other criteria.
